Modern dance is a popular dance choice, these classes are fun and well structured and aim to improve co-ordination, flexibility, strength and expression. Modern combines many styles from the energetic and dynamic Jazz to lyrical, contemporary and creative dance styles.
At The Dance Factory (Suffolk), we have classes for children from age 4 years and adults.
Some facts about modern dancing:
- It helps you master the art of using gravity and transitions on the floor
- It can be infused with other dance forms and performed with any type of music
- It gives you a lot of room to express your emotions and creativity
- It improves physical and mental fitness
- It breaks pre-set dance rules and allows you to dance freely using your emotions and music
We are ISTD affiliated
The ISTD syllabus is a carefully planned one that combines modern dance with jazz and other dance styles. This syllabus encourages students to become disciplined and versatile dancers. We conduct regular ISTD exams, from primary to advanced 2 levels. The higher exams count for UKAS points.
